بیماری عروق کرونر قلب و مطالعه ویژگی های آن به تفکیک جنسی

CAD is one of the most common diseases in this era and coronary artery bypass surgery is a popular operation in Iran and other countries. This entity has multiple modality of treatment based on several factors. The most common invasive modality is cABG. This study is a retrospective one, on 500 patients (402 men and 98 women) who underwent cABG in "SHARIATI" hospital. The mean age was 52 for men and 57 for women. Hypertension, diabetes, hypercholestrolemia and hypertriglyceridemia were more common in women a marked difference. In men cigarette smoking was more common. Mean ejection fraction of left ventricle was higher in women, but the mean no. of involved coronary artries were the same in both sex. 10 patients died in 30 day post-operation including 7 men and 3 women.
